For nearly 20 years, Aka Sushi House Upper Kirby has been Houston’s favorite Japanese restaurant, serving fresh sushi, premium sashimi, steaming ramen, Japanese izakaya-style small plates, crispy tempura, and authentic Japanese cuisine at the corner of Kirby Dr & W Alabama St in Upper Kirby. We’re best known for our signature Happy Hour weekdays from 3–7 PM and Reverse Happy Hour from 9 PM until close, with ALL DAY Happy Hour every weekend. From after-work drinks and date nights to family dinners, group gatherings, and late-night sushi runs, generations of Houston locals have continued to make Aka Sushi House their neighborhood favorite late night sushi for fresh ingredients, generous portions, warm hospitality, and exceptional value.
