Walk through our door in Montrose and land in Puerto Rico! From the music and culture to the mouthwatering aroma coming from the kitchen, Tex-Chick feels like home. Our food brings back memories of Abuela’s kitchen—full of sabor, cariño, tradition, and the flavors that make you say, “¡Acho… qué rico!” Whether Puerto Rico is your home, your heritage, or a place you’re discovering through food, pull up a chair. Aquí comes como en familia. Tex-Chick — un pedacito de Puerto Rico en Houston. ❤️

Mi Luna Tapas Restaurant & Bar Tapas restaurant
Mi Luna is a family-owned and operated Spanish tapas restaurant with a Moorish influence and lively atmosphere. The menu will have a strong seafood influence, along with a focus on roasted and braised meats, vegetarian items and a robust variety of tapas dishes. Highlights include Roasted Whole Branzino, Roasted Moorish Lamb Shoulder, Rape con Miel, Pescaditos Fritos, and Braised Oxtail with Garbanzo. Guests can also expect to see a few signature items from the original location, such as the Paella Valenciana, Pulpo con Patatas, Bastilla, and Gambas al Ajillo.
The Burger Joint Sandwich shop
This is where it all started. Our Montrose location opened on Montrose Boulevard in 2014 and it is still the heart of The Burger Joint. Set in the middle of Montrose’s walkable arts-and-nightlife district, we are minutes from the Menil Collection, the museum district, and the boutiques and bars that make this one of Houston’s most-loved neighborhoods. Whether you are gallery-hopping, grabbing a late bite after drinks, or bringing the dog out to the patio for a puppy shake, this is where Houston comes for hand-crafted 100% Angus burgers and hand-spun shakes. Street and lot parking are close by.
Cuchara Mexican restaurant
Cuchara, an authentic Mexico City bistro that opened its doors with an above and beyond Mexican independence party on September 15, 2012, occupies the corner space at Fairview and Taft. The 1940s brick building used to house The Hyde Park Supermarket. The restaurant was conceived by Ana Beaven and Charlie McDaniel. A collection of eye-catching murals by Mexico City artist Cecilia Beaven are presented throughout the interior and patio. It has a modern, open aesthetic, which is juxtaposed with jolts of color and texture in the rainbow-hued plates and bowls, and rough-hewn half-aprons worn by waiters that reference the menu’s Mexico City origins. The one kitchen in town run by women only, delivers delicious authentic dishes never seen in
