A garden coffee shop in the Heights, inside Botanic Beer Garden at 1920 Houston Ave. Every espresso is dialed in by a craftsman with eight years behind the machine — syrups made from scratch, iced drinks in glassware, hot in ceramic. Signature lattes like Ube Cloud, Pandan-Matcha, Pistachio Cream, and Black Forest Mocha, plus a full loose-leaf tea program, smoothies, açaí bowls, and alternatives like Beetroot Cacao and Charcoal Lemonade. Breakfast daily to 11:30am, weekend brunch to 3pm, lunch and dinner too — a kitchen on extra-virgin olive oil and beef tallow, no seed oils. Two covered patios, fiber Wi-Fi, free parking, dog-friendly. And when you're ready, the cocktail bar is in the same garden.

Generous Hospitality Since the beginning, coffee has been an essential part of Ecclesia Houston. In our early days, our cafe, then called Taft Street Cafe, served the Montrose community as an art gallery and gathering space. Our mission then was "to be a place where the sacred and secular intersect over a great cup of coffee." In 2024, through a management agreement with Tenfold, we embarked on the next chapter; Paper Co. Our cafe is open seven days a week for our community and the city of Houston. We are excited to uphold the tradition of serving exceptional coffee and fostering meaningful conversation. Our vision remains unchanged - "a cafe for all.
